What Are Isoflavones?
Part of a group called phytoestrogens, isoflavones are naturally occurring
plant compounds that can show some of the same characteristics as human
hormones.
This helps isoflavones ease the transition through menopause, reducing
symptoms like hot flashes. Isoflavones may also benefit the cardiovascular
system by helping to maintain healthy arteries.

How do isoflavones work? Phytoestrogens like isoflavones are structured like
human estrogen. Although they can act differently than estrogen, they often
interact with estrogen receptors to produce similar effects in the body.
In addition to their benefits for menopause, isoflavones offer the added
advantage of being readily absorbed in the digestive tract and are almost
completely metabolized and eliminated within 24 hours of consumption.
